Welcome to Consciously HER!

I've always believed that a woman's superpower is Her story: where she's from, what she's experienced, who she loves, her values, her goals, what she gives to this world, what she has learned and what she decides to do with that knowledge. My greatest hope is that through sharing little bits of my story, my daughter and future children will gain the profound sense of courage that can only come from knowing who raised them. My greatest hope is to give them something they can be proud of.   

To Béya: You are my reason. Being your Mama has been the greatest gift and an honor I don’t take lightly. I don't intend for this to be some sort of roadmap because we’re still learning this thing called Life together and I respect you too much to assume that you will need the same guidance I find myself needing from time to time. Instead, I will tell stories here and hope you deduct and take with you anything that serves your purpose. You Béya, are capable, intelligent, fearless, beautiful and prayed over. I hope you are reminded of this every time you find yourself here.

To my subscriber and potential subscriber; if you are: the partner of an incredible husband, a Coach's wife, in a biracial marriage and have biracial children, a Mother embracing the highs and lows of Motherhood, a Girl Dad, a Son or Daughter with parents who always tried to give you the best life, a Millennial trying to keep up and stay focused, a full time working Mom with big goals, someone who LOVES giving people their flowers, a lifelong learner, and/or if you have been changed by an unimaginable loss, you will find something for you here. I hope it makes you feel seen.

I call this space Consciously HER because, considering the times we are in, I find it irresponsible to not discuss and seek information on matters that directly impact our children’s futures. We will be keeping it 100 and we will challenge each other to live more consciously, not more perfectly.

Lastly, to the women who have chosen to be a blessing to those around her and who know where their blessings come from, thank you for helping me define Consciously HER. This space is especially for you.
